Report Card

Evie did great on her first day at day care.  When I brought her into her room, she actually put her arms out to her teacher, Ms. Susan, and warmed up to her immediately.  As I walked out of the room, Evie was playing with Ms. Susan's necklace and was happy as could be.  That made me feel so relieved!  There was a mix-up with her start date, and somehow her teachers weren't expecting her until September 6, but Ms. Susan insisted that it wasn't a problem and everything would be fine.  It upset me at first (especially since I was so nervous about it to begin with), but I still managed to leave her, and I'm glad I did.  Evie took a nap and drank all of her bottle before Nana came to get her at about 10:30.  We'll let her stay a full day eventually.  :)

What?!  I get to go back to school today?!!! 

What a relief to have that first day over with, and here's hoping the rest go so smoothly!
