We stayed in Sandestin (can't beat the convenience), and had a gorgeous view.
I couldn't have asked for Evie to be any more cooperative, and it was so nice to have some extra help and entertainment for her. She developed a serious attachment and fascination with her cousin, and he was so sweet and patient with her (especially when she wanted to play with all his Leggo stuff!)
She also did great going out to dinner every night, and even behaved well enough for the fancy "white table cloth" restaurant on our second-to-last night (we went early). I was able to keep her on schedule, for the most part, but I learned that she rolls with the punches pretty well. Perhaps she's a little more flexible than her momma! :)
Not surprisingly, Evie was not a big fan of the sand, but she did fine on a blanket. The beach was really windy while we were there, so it was kinda tough for her to get comfortable. She lasted a few hours, though. The pool was less windy, but Evie refused to get even one toe wet. Not sure why she wasn't into it, but I'm hoping she gets over it and loves the pool this summer.
And here are some family pictures from our last night there...

So, that was our first family vacation of 2012. Time to start planning the next one!
I wish we were still at the beach! :) Fun times!
